All types of LUKOIL motor fuels fully comply with Romanian norms in force regarding quality requirements. Special consideration is given to the quality assurance process in the whole chain of activities starting with petroleum products supply up to their marketing. Thus, LUKOIL creates the image of a company that offers for sale petroleum products of an unrivalled quality.

Being constantly engaged in health and environment protection, LUKOIL has initiated an extensive program of quality control regarding petroleum products, strictly meeting the European requirements.

The first mobile motor fuel analysis laboratory was acquired by the company to cover the western part of Romania. Presently the company has at its disposal two stationary labs and a mobile one. The action will continue in 2004, when two more stationary and two mobile labs will start operating.

By creating a real network of stationary and mobile labs, placed strategically on the entire territory of Romania, it will be possible to implement a severe program of:

Quality control of products on sale at filling stations

Control over terminals and warehouses during reception, storage and shipping of petroleum products

Control over complying with the legal provisions regarding the reduction of harmful substances level in waste gas by means of setting a limit to the level of sulphur, benzene and aromatic hydrocarbons in gasoline and diesel fuel

Prevention of contamination and thefts of any kind by means of measuring the level of color additives and color markers

Having modern equipment, using the instrumental methods of analysis, fast and accurate, which can be supplied both from the network as well as from the vehicle battery, the mobile labs can reach any place where they are needed to perform an analysis of petroleum products, motor gasoline as well as diesel fuel, in accordance with the norms in force, thus avoiding an unnecessary waste of time and the financial expenses that would be required to transport test samples to a stationary lab.

The test results can be communicated in a very short time so that the necessary decisions should be taken.

In order to reduce pollution, the alarming rate of increase of the damage caused by us, due to our negligence, to nature and therefore to ourselves, LUKOIL company continuously takes preventive measures, exercising the control by using mobile labs specifically equipped to this end, to reduce air and water pollution levels in the area immediately adjacent to the filling stations and petroleum products depots.
